After my success with the Sally Hansen magnetic nail polish, I went back and tried the Sinful Colors brand again. I thought since I had managed to get one to work, maybe my luck would be better with this one.

These first two pics are of the Sally Hansen magnetic manicure. I think the ripples in the purple polish came out really cool! So I tried the gold snakeskin mani.

This kind is slightly different. It has a magnet ring instead of the magnet in the top. I’m not sure why the effect is so different. Maybe the magnet isn’t as strong. Or maybe they just weren’t trying to get the same effect. The Sinful Colors polish effect came out very subtle, and I do appreciate that. I like it, but for me it was not as good as the Sally Hansen.

I had also purchased another bottle of the Sinful Colors magnetic polish. I wanted to do that one too, so that I could show haw each style looked. But with that bottle, I could not get any magnetic effect at all. I do feel that I know how to do it now, since I was able to get it to work twice. But I gave up on this one! It was a silver polish, named ‘magnetism.’
Overall, I thought the magnetic manicures were fun to do. When I got the hang of it, it was fun watching the magnet pull the polish around. And it is an effect I haven’t seen any other way. But I would not waste money on the Sinful Colors brand. Sally Hansen seems to be the old faithful of nail polish, but it got that way for a reason.
As a final note, I discovered that if you turn the Sally Hansen magent upside down, you get the opposite effect. That was just another fun little twist.
