Are you seeing the ads for BB cream everywhere? I have, and with so many beauty products on the shelves, I dismissed it as just another fad. But I’m trying to be ‘hip’ now (lol), trying to be aware of beauty and clothing trends. So in the interest of becoming a fashionista, I decided I really do need to find out what these BB cremes really are.
Originally, I thought BB was a brand name, maybe a shortened version of Bobbi Brown. But that confused me even more. Isn’t Whitney Houston’s husband named Bobby Brown? What does he have to do with makeup? I still don’t get that part of it. But apparently BB means blemish balm, and in this case blemish means any skin imperfection. So BB cream is supposed to cure any and all skin imperfections.
Of course no product can fix everything. But BB creams are filling up the shelves right now, and (possibly) flying off of them. My skin product routine is already a mess, because I am trying more up scale skin care and makeup products like Sephora and MAC.
So I think I will try a BB cream, once i figure out which kind to try. I always heard that you shouldn’t use different kinds of skincare products. If that is true, then shouldn’t I only use a BB cream from my regular product line? What if there isn’t one? These are important questions!
